What is the quality of food like in the care home, is the meal time regimented?

Our meals are freshly prepared in the kitchen by staff on
shift. Each staff is trained on Food Hygiene and certificate. Staff
sourced out fresh ingredients wherever possible and create menus
that are interesting and seasonal, catering to different preferences
and dietary requirements. Meal time is not regimented at all. We do
have set mealtimes and encourage residents to sit and eat together
in the dining room for great social experience. Resident are allowed
to chose time to eat and choice of menu as they wish.

How will you support my relative to settle down in the care home?

Our team is highly experienced and passionate about integrating each
resident into their life at their new home. We will take as much time
as your loved one needs to help settle them into their new home. We will encourage you to bring along your relatives’ most cherished
possessions and mementoes to help create their own personal
haven. Our goal is to ensure that everyone feels happy, healthy and
at home in our care. Each resident is assigned a key worker and a
comprehensive care plan is created, detailing everything from care
and dietary requirements to background history and likes, dislikes
and hobbies as well as how they like to spend their time.

Our goal is to provide the best possible support for individuals with learning disabilities and mental health conditions while ensuring peace of mind for families and loved ones. We prioritize safety, comfort, and professional care, all while maintaining compliance with CQC standards.

Is the care home run 24/7 and 365 days a year?

It is 24 hours of the day, 365 days a year, with staff on site and On-Call service available for Emergencies. Our skilled & qualified team of support workers work around the clock to ensure there is someone available to always meet your needs.

What type of Care do you offer?

We provide residential care for people on a long-term or short-term basis. Our experienced team are here to provide help and advice, supporting you to decide the appropriate type of care that best suits your needs. We are also able to offer short term such as 6 months or 1 year. We do not offer Respite Care but could be considered if room are available.

What support can you provide with my medical care needs?

As a residential care home, we work closely with a wealth of community and clinical professionals to ensure our residents’ care needs are met. These include district nurses, GPs, opticians, and chiropodists. There will be times when our residents need to see a doctor or perhaps a dentist. We make sure everyone has access to this locally and ensure they are up to date with routine check-ups. Our team is trained to administer medication.

Will I be able to put my print in decoration my room?

Of course, but it is far more than that. We want you to feel comfortable, warm and a practical home that you feel part of. This is vital for you and us to be able to provide exceptional care. Our home is designed to be vibrant, safe, and stimulating, promote independence and provide exceptional care with a deep sense of compassion.

I am a chain smoker; how would you cater for my needs?

We have created a designated place in the garden for smoker. We do not allow smoking in the home or in the room for safety reason. We will encourage you to use the garden for smoking.

What is the Ratio if support worker to a resident?

This depends on the needs of the resident. Some people will need less support and other will need intense/comprehensive support to meet their needs. We will base the workers ratio on the needs of residents.

How can I make sure that my relative will be looked after?

We have an open-door policy for relatives to visit their loved ones if it does not disrupt other resident comfort and peaceful environment in the
house. We work together with your loved ones to draw up a personal
care plan for them to ensure that all their needs are met. As a care
service provider, we are subject to random inspections from the Care
Quality Commission (CQC the independent regulator of health and
social care in England). We have a Registered Manager who is also
responsible for monitoring quality standards in the home, with
monthly checks and reports completed and recorded. Any complaint
or concerns raised are always dealt with promptly, and recorded as
part of an ongoing internal audit process.

How do you promote independency?

We totally understand this and promote independence as much as possible. We believe this is vital and at the same time ensure we meet the needs of our residents, such as administering medication or assisting with washing or dressing, in a dignified & respectful manner.

What about if I need Emergency?

This is the reason we have a 24/7 support in the care home and night shift staff to support meet your needs. We do not have an emergency button in each room. However, staff at shift can be contacted for support and just speak to them. We also have On-Call number for emergency relating to the care home. But for medical emergency, please
contact 999 or NHS111

I like to access the local community, what support can I get?

Yes, as we believe it is important, staff are trained to support resident access community and participate in any activity of their choice at their own time. We will create a weekly and consistence weekly activity with support from your relative and social worker to support your needs. The heart of East London is enriched with historical, cultural and place of interest for visit. We also have different community centres(in London) that cater for individual needs. We believe that providing ‘meaningful occupation’ is essential in helping residents to really
enjoy themselves and make the most of their time with us
